Overview

About Typerelay

Typerelay inserts saved snippets when users type short shortcuts across macOS, Windows and Linux. It offers local search, opt-in suggestions for repeated wording, optional on-device AI drafting, cloud sync and shared team libraries, with desktop, terminal, MCP and API interfaces.

What it does

Typerelay expands short shortcuts into saved text such as replies, links and phrases. It can spot repeated wording on the device and suggest new snippets for review, search snippets locally and use a downloaded local model to draft or refine text. Paid plans add cloud sync, unlimited libraries and machines, a private AI option and shared team libraries with white-labeling. The source code is published under the AGPLv3 license for self-hosting.

Where it fits

It sits on the user's desktop across every app, replacing copy-paste from documents and older text expanders. Support teams can use shared libraries to keep standard replies consistent.

Who it suits

Support agents, sales reps, recruiters, developers and anyone who types the same replies repeatedly, plus teams that want shared snippet libraries.
